David Moyes has returned to West Ham United as manager, the club have confirmed.
Moyes has signed an 18-month deal to succeed Manuel Pellegrini and go back to the club with whom he spent six months of the 2017/18 season.
"It’s fabulous to be back," Moyes told the club's official website. "It feels great to be home.
"I’ve missed being here because I really enjoyed it and I feel like I’ve got unfinished business, so I can’t wait to get started."
Moyes has taken charge of four Premier League clubs. He spent 11 years with Everton before succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
The Scot then suffered relegation with Sunderland in 2016/17 but returned to top-flight management with the Hammers, whom he guided out of the bottom three to finish 13th.
He has managed 526 Premier League matches, overseeing 204 wins, 144 draws and 178 losses, picking up 10 Manager of the Month awards along the way.
Only Arsene Wenger, Ferguson and Harry Redknapp have more experience as a Premier League manager.
His first match back at London Stadium will be the visit of AFC Bournemouth on New Year's Day.
