Managers in Fantasy Premier League face tricky decisions with their Chelsea and Spurs players ahead of Double Gameweek 34 (DGW34), depending on their chip strategy.

Both clubs have favourable short-term fixtures. But in DGW34 when seven clubs have TWO fixtures, Spurs don't play at all, while Chelsea face a difficult trip to Arsenal in their only match.

While that perhaps reduces some of the appeal of investing in the two London rivals, Chelsea and Spurs still have two matches each yet to be rescheduled, which will likely lead to Double Gameweeks for both teams following DGW34.

Here, The Scout's panel of FPL experts reveal their plans.

What the experts say
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

Investing in these two teams really does depend on the chip strategy you've committed to. Personally, knowing I won't be using a chip in DGW34, I'm happy going without their assets for now. I'll then invest in them when I Wildcard in Gameweek 35 or 36 ahead of their likely Double Gameweeks. If you're Free-Hitting in DGW34 and can remove your Spurs and Chelsea players for that problematic Gameweek then investing now in the likes of Malo Gusto (£4.2m), Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m), Pedro Porro (£5.8m) and Son Heung-min (£10.1m) could deliver instant rewards.

The fixtures for both sides look so good either side of DGW34, so it really is only that week that I might not want them. I'll be holding my Spurs and Chelsea players for now, benching them in DGW34 and then having them come back in for the run-in and likely Double Gameweeks. That strategy means my Bench Boost chip is much more likely to be played in Gameweek 37.

Given Spurs and Chelsea have good fixtures in quantity and quality before and after DGW34, I'd try to Free-Hit in DGW34 so that I make the most of their assets before and afterwards. They boast strong options such as Cole Palmer (£5.8m), Son, James Maddison (£8.0m) and Gusto, which is why I'm happy to jump on their fixtures. If you don't have a Free Hit, I'd have Palmer and Son on my bench in DGW34, but I'd want them as starters in the other Gameweeks.

Ben Crabtree (@FCCrab_Dogg)

For a good run of fixtures, it's best to jump on as soon as possible. Palmer is an easy pick given his price, and he helps enable a Spurs double-up, like Son and Maddison. I think Spurs have players to hold until the end of the season, whereas Chelsea players, except Palmer, look like more of a punt you can sell at short notice.

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)

I've got my Wildcard ready to use next week, so I'm set to bring in Gusto this week to bolster my Chelsea numbers for the plum home game against Burnley. I'll have Palmer, Gusto, Son, Maddison and Porro this Gameweek from both clubs, which I am hoping should provide plenty of FPL points.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

If you have your Free Hit to play in DGW34 then it's an ideal strategy to load up on Spurs and Chelsea - they have nice fixtures before DGW34, and after that they're likely to have six fixtures in the final four Gameweeks. If, like me, you don't have your Free Hit, then planning to move Spurs assets to the bench in DGW34 alongside Gusto makes sense. However, Palmer's form and penalty duties mean he will make my starting XI, even against Arsenal.
