Liverpool have made their sixth signing of the summer with the addition of midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle United.
The 25-year-old has agreed a long-term contract after moving from Newcastle for an undisclosed fee.
"I'm really excited because Liverpool is a big club with a great history and it's always a dream to play for as big a club as Liverpool," Wijnaldum told liverpoolfc.com, before revealing how much he was looking forward to meeting manager Jurgen Klopp.
"I always love to watch him, his passion as a trainer, I like how he enjoys the game. He gives something back to the group [with his passion] so I look forward to working with him."
After spells at Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven, Wijnaldum joined Newcastle in July 2015.
He was Newcastle's leading goalscorer last season, with 11, although his goals could not prevent the Magpies from being relegated from the Premier League.
Wijnaldum, who also recorded five assists from his 38 appearances, scored the second goal as Newcastle defeated Liverpool 2-0 in December and he also became the second Magpies player, after Alan Shearer, to score four goals in a PL match – in the 6-2 win over Norwich City in October.
The Dutchman has been capped 30 times by the Netherlands, scored six international goals and will wear the number five shirt for his new team.
Liverpool continue their pre-season programme on 1 August when they travel to the United States to take on Roma while they begin their Premier League campaign on 14 August when they face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.
