Soccer History
Premier League Summer Series participants Chelsea played a pre-season friendly match against Major League Soccer side D.C. United at FedExField in 2005.

Manchester United have taken to the FedExField on three occasions: twice against Barcelona and once against Inter Milan.

Arsenal were the most recent Premier League team to play at the stadium, a pre-season match against Real Madrid in July 2019.

D.C. United, who typically play at Audi Field in Washington D.C., hosted their first MLS regular-season match at FedExField in June 2014. This was part of a double-header as Spain faced El Salvador in a 2014 World Cup warm-up match.

FedExField hosted four group matches at the 1999 Women’s World Cup. This was followed by back-to-back quarter-finals, including a memorable 3-2 victory for the United States over Germany.

Notable Events
FedExField is the host of the annual Prince George’s Classic college American football game.

And for the second time, the annual Army-Navy American football match will take place at the stadium in 2024. The first such game to be hosted at FedExField between the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy was in 2011.

The stadium regularly hosts music concerts, with artists such as Beyoncé, Jay Z, Linkin Park, Metallica, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd previously performing at the venue.

Many British and Irish music artists have performed at FedExField as well, including Charli XCX, Coldplay, Muse, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones and U2.
