Kieran McKenna leads Ipswich Town into their first Premier League season for 22 years.

In his playing days, McKenna was a midfielder at Tottenham Hotspur but a hip injury forced him to retire at the age of 22 before he was able to make his first-team debut. 

McKenna also made 12 appearances for Northern Ireland at youth level.

He then successfully moved into coaching, holding academy roles at Spurs and Manchester United before becoming part of the first-team coaching staff at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and Ralf Rangnick.

Ipswich was where he took up his maiden managerial role.

In his first full season in charge, McKenna guided Ipswich to a second-placed finish in League One to earn promotion to the Championship, before amassing 96 points in 2023/24 to secure the club's top-flight return for the first time since 2002.

Last month, McKenna agreed a new four-year contract to stay at Portman Road.
