A late goal from Louie Sibley stunned Liverpool and sent Derby County level on points with the leaders of Premier League 2 Division 1.
Liverpool led on 17 minutes through Matty Virtue, but two second-half goals from Calum MacDonald and Jacob Butterfield turned the match in Derby’s favour at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground.
Isaac Christie-Davies pulled the Reds level with 13 minutes remaining, only for Sibley to pounce on a loose ball to prod in the winner on 85 minutes.
Derby go fourth, level on 14 points with Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal, the latter two sides meeting on Monday evening.
Liverpool drop to 10th on nine points.
