Paul Glatzel's second-half goal ended Liverpool's run of four consecutive Premier League 2 Division 1 draws as they earned a 1-0 victory at West Ham United.
Two days before his 18th birthday, Glatzel scored the winner from close range in the 77th minute, following good work from Abdi Sharif.
The victory at Chigwell Construction Stadium moves the Reds up to fifth place in the table, ahead of a Merseyside derby meeting with leaders Everton in their next match, on 4 March.
West Ham remain 11th on 16 points, two points adrift of safety.
