Josh Barrett scored twice in the second half as Reading came from a goal down to beat Middlesbrough 3-2.
The hosts began quickest and led in the fifth minute through Ashley Fletcher but Reading drew level a minute after half-time when Ben House netted his fifth league goal of the season.
Barrett converted a Danny Loader cross four minutes later and struck his second to give Reading a 3-1 lead.
Bilal Brahimi's consolation was spectacular but it was not enough as Boro fell to a third consecutive defeat to go 10th. Reading are up to third.
