Mame Biram Diouf scored twice as a 4-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion at bet365 Stadium kept Stoke City's Division 2 play-off hopes alive.
Diouf netted the opener in the second minute, heading in Thibaud Verlinden's cross and Tre Pemberton made it 2-0 on 26 minutes.
Diouf had his second after being played in by Darren Fletcher.
Stanley Asomugha pulled one back for the Baggies on 53 minutes but a minute from the end, Charlie Adam scored from the spot after Verlinden had been fouled.
The win leaves Stoke in seventh on 23 points, seven points behind fifth-placed Aston Villa in the final play-off spot.
West Brom slip to ninth.
