D'Mani Bughail-Mellor scored one goal and set up the other as Manchester United beat Reading 2-0 in Premier League 2 Division 2.
Having scored in the 5-0 opening-weekend win over West Bromwich Albion, the 18-year-old forward provided a 12th-minute breakthrough at Leigh Sports Village with a drilled finish.
Centre-back Di Bernard nearly added a second for Man Utd, sending his effort just wide from Brandon Williams's cross.
And midfielder James Garner made sure of the points in the 76th minute thanks to Bughail-Mellor's assist, scoring his third goal in two matches and sending United top of the table.
