Arnau Puigmal Martinez's goal put the visitors in front on 40 minutes, before Adam Liddle equalised in first-half stoppage time.
The visitors surged to victory with goals from Aliou Badara Traore, Tahith Chong and Dillion Hoogewerf in the second half.
Man Utd are on 34 points from 13 matches, a point and a place below West Ham, while Reading are seventh.
