The battle for the Cadbury Golden Boot could not be closer, with two former winners sharing the lead at the top of the goalscoring chart.
Sergio Aguero trailed Mohamed Salah by six goals on 28 January but the Manchester City forward has drawn level with the Liverpool striker on 17 after seven goals in his last four matches, including hat-tricks against Arsenal and Chelsea.
Salah, meanwhile, has only scored once during the same spell.
Advantage Salah?
Both players have pedigree when it comes to the Golden Boot.
Aguero won the award in 2014/15 with 26 goals while Salah is the current holder after setting a scoring record of 32 goals in a 38-match campaign last season.
The Egyptian has a slight advantage over Aguero, having played one match fewer.
Salah will aim to capitalise at Manchester United on Sunday, while City are in EFL Cup final action with Chelsea.
The chasing pack
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also in close contention, lying two goals behind on 15.
The Arsenal striker is expected to be fit to face Southampton on Sunday, having missed the 2-1 win at Huddersfield Town through illness.
And do not overlook the prospects of Harry Kane either.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker is aiming for a third Golden Boot in four seasons and is only one goal further back on 14 despite having been out of action since 13 January with an ankle injury.
He could be back in time for Spurs' trip to Burnley on Saturday, having resumed full training this week.
