When Glenn Murray opened the scoring for Brighton & Hove Albion against Crystal Palace it continued his remarkable goal record in this fixture, but the striker almost did not play.
Murray's fine finish from Lewis Dunk's pass on 19 minutes meant he had scored against Palace in four matches in a row in all competitions.
He has also scored a further three in this fixture, but for the Eagles.
Sub switch
But Murray was initially named on the bench at Selhurst Park, stepping into the starting XI late on after Florin Andone got injured during the warm-up.
"If Andone starts, he might have done well and got the winner," Brighton manager Chris Hughton told Brighton's official website.
"But equally if you have to make that change late before the game, Glenn’s not a bad option to bring in."
Influential striker
As well as it being Murray's 11th goal of the season, just one shy of his 2017/18 total, the strike was his 23rd in the Premier League for Brighton.
In total, Murray has scored 35 per cent of the club's 66 PL goals.
No player has scored a higher proportion of a team's goals in the history of the competition.
