F2Tekkz claims ePremier League title

Liverpool's Donovan Hunt (F2Tekkz) has claimed multiple FIFA 19 titles this season, but said becoming the inaugural ePremier League Champion means the most to him.

Hunt, the world No 1 and favourite for the title, laboured to progress from the group stages on Day 1 of the ePremier League Final, then needed a stoppage-time winner in extra-time to qualify for the Grand Final, where he beat Manchester United's PlayStation winner Kyle Leese (KyleLeese_) 6-2.

"This is my favourite one to be honest," he said. "A lot of aspects came into it. Representing Liverpool, that's the main one.

"I came into the tournament so nervous. I started awful, but I eased into it throughout the days and now I'm champion."

Leese was disappointed to lose in the final, where one leg was played on the PlayStation console and the other on Xbox.

Hunt claimed victory in both legs but Leese still felt proud to leave London as the PlayStation winner.

"He [F2Tekkz] is best in the world for a reason," Leese said. "He dominated me on my own console.

"It's been a massive privilege [to represent United]. It was a boyhood dream. Not many people get the chance to do it."

After his glory, Hunt is now hoping his favourite team, Liverpool, will replicate his success and claim a first Premier League title.

“I’ve been saying the whole time, if I win this, I’ll break the trophy duck and now we’re going to win the league," he said. "We’re going to win the Champions League.

"We’re going to win it all."
