Saturday's match against Newcastle United will mark the end of a busy week for Crystal Palace's players.
After beating Huddersfield Town at Selhurst Park and then facing Tottenham Hotspur in their new stadium, Roy Hodgson's side travel to St James' Park for their third match in eight days.
A win would lift the Eagles 11 points clear of the bottom three. But how do the Palace backroom staff keep the team fresh and ready to perform at such a crucial part of the season?
"The players that are involved in all three games, it tends to be about recovery so they don't do that much on the pitch," explains Palace's head of sports science, Scott Guyett, in a video on the club's official website.
The Australian former defender says it is all about trying to achieve a balance.
"The most difficult thing in weeks like this is dealing with the players that are playing and trying to get enough training into them without it compromising them playing in a game potentially," he says.
