For Liverpool fans, and Fantasy Premier League managers, 22 June 2017 is a date that should be etched in their memories.

That is because it is the day Mohamed Salah started his love affair with the club, signing from Roma.

In his two seasons at Anfield, he has smashed club and Premier League records and emerged as a pivotal figure for Jurgen Klopp's exciting side.

Record breaker

Salah got off the mark on his Liverpool debut and went on to score 32 times, setting a record for goals in a 38-match campaign, as he secured his first Cadbury's Golden Boot.

In so doing, he became the first African to score 30 goals in a Premier League season, and the first player to be named EA SPORTS Player of the Month three times in one campaign.

Last season, the 27-year-old continued where he left off.

Scoring 22 goals, he claimed the Golden Boot once again, this time sharing it with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sadio Mane

And for the second season running he was the top points-scorer in FPL, rewarding the two million managers who had him in their squads.

Liverpool narrowly missed out on the Premier League title, but Salah crowned a spectacular 2018/19 with the opening goal as Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League final.
