Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign central defender Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle.
The 17-year-old Dutchman has committed to a long-term contract which will take effect in July subject to international clearance.
Van den Berg, who joins for an undisclosed fee, made 15 appearances in the Eredivisie last season to help Zwolle finish in 13th place.
He is the first signing Liverpool have agreed this summer and has been capped four times by the Netherlands at Under-19 level.
"It’s just an amazing feeling," Van den Berg told Liverpool's official website. "It is, for me, the biggest club in the world and it’s a dream come true. I am really excited.
"I’ve seen what kind of players from the Academy grew into the first team here. It is unbelievable, especially when this kind of big club does that."
Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign at home against Norwich City on Friday 9 August.
