A home encounter with Brighton & Hove Albion gives John McGinn (£5.8m) the chance to extend his prolific start to 2019/20 Fantasy Premier League.
The Aston Villa midfielder has scored three goals and supplied an assist in the opening eight Gameweeks.
McGinn is the eighth highest-scoring midfielder in FPL with 39 points.
And in terms of value he is the second-best player in his position, providing 6.7 points per million for his owners.
The Scot takes his place in a Scout Selection who line up in a 3-4-3 formation, with Tammy Abraham (£7.7m) handed the armband and Callum Wilson (£7.9m) the vice-captain.
Paulo Gazzaniga (TOT) £4.4m
An injury to Hugo Lloris (£5.4m) promotes the Argentinian as a cut-price route into the Tottenham Hotspur defence. Gazzaniga hosts a Watford side who have scored only one away goal this season.
Ricardo Pereira (LEI) £6.2m
The Leicester City full-back has been a big success at both ends of the pitch at King Power Stadium. Pereira has two goals and two clean sheets in four home appearances ahead of a visit from Burnley.
Frederic Guilbert (AVL) £4.4m
The Aston Villa defender will hope to extend his fine home form against Brighton. Guilbert has 15 points over his three home matches, thanks to an assist and two clean sheets.
Marcos Alonso (CHE) £6.2m
A visit from Newcastle United boosts the chance of a bumper haul from the Chelsea left-back. Alonso has supplied an assist in two of the last four Gameweeks, yet is owned by only 2.9 per cent of squads.
Mohamed Salah (LIV) £12.5m
The Liverpool star visits a Manchester United defence with one clean sheet in seven Gameweeks. Away from home, Salah's nine shots inside the box rank second among FPL midfielders.
Manuel Lanzini (WHU) £6.4m
The West Ham United playmaker will pose problems for an Everton side who have lost five of their last six matches. Away from home, Lanzini’s 13 chances created are more than any other player in FPL.
John McGinn (AVL) £5.8m
His eye for goal helped McGinn score a hat-trick in Scotland’s 6-0 win over San Marino during the international break.
Raheem Sterling (MCI) £12.1m
The Manchester City wide man was a big success at Crystal Palace last season. Sterling scored two goals in a 3-1 win at Selhurst Park and will be among the main captaincy contenders for Gameweek 9.
Tammy Abraham (CHE) £7.7m
The most-bought forward in the Gameweek, he has earned 262,000 transfers in for the visit of Newcastle. At home, Abraham’s 13 shots in the box and seven shots on target are among the top three players in FPL.
Callum Wilson (BOU) £7.9m
One of the most consistent players in FPL, Wilson has attacking returns in seven of the first eight Gameweeks. His side host a Norwich City defence without a clean sheet in 2019/20.
Jamie Vardy (LEI) £9.0m
His recent home form highlights the Leicester striker’s potential as a captaincy option against Burnley. Vardy has served up hauls of 16 and 12 points in his last three matches at King Power Stadium.
What the experts say
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily): There’s so much value in FPL this year. I’d be tempted to save even more and swap Sterling and Salah to Sadio Mane (£11.7m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£10.0m). KDB is fit and firing for what is a must-win match for Pep Guardiola's men.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Interesting to see Salah in here given that he has no previous Premier League attacking returns against Man Utd. I would have gone with Mane as feel he could be dangerous against a weakened Red Devils side. Gazzaniga in goal is a great shout. At £4.4m he enables you to be on a big-club 'keeper for a home match against the bottom team.
Holly Shand (@FFCommunity_): McGinn had a fine international break and his underlying statistics look convincing. He frustrated in Gameweek 8 so a turn in fortune is needed for owners.
Mark McGettigan (@FPLGeneral): I like Guilbert but I fancy Brighton to score at least one this weekend after being superb against Spurs. I'd be going for that front three if I was on a Wildcard this week.
Chuck Booth (@ChuckBoothSport): While I'd prefer backing a healthy Mane over Salah, that's my only gripe this week. Gazzaniga is a wonderful short-term budget goalkeeper and the forward line is lethal - and includes my captain, Wilson!
Neal Thurman (@nealjthurman): I'm all in on Chelsea for the next few weekends so I'm not sure how you justify selecting Lanzini at Everton over Mason Mount (£6.8m) at home to Newcastle. I'd also take Harry Wilson (£6.1m) against Norwich.
