1996: Southampton 6-3 Manchester United
Southampton shocked 10-man Manchester United as they beat them 6-3 at The Dell.
Eyal Berkovic kicked off proceedings with an early goal to give Southampton the lead before Roy Keane was dismissed.
Matt Le Tissier doubled their advantage but David Beckham pulled one back before Egil Ostenstad restored Saints’ two goal lead.
David May scored for United to bring the scores to 3-2, but Berkovic’s second of the afternoon was followed by goals from Ostenstad and a Phil Neville own goal to seal the three points despite a late Paul Scholes consolation goal.
The result left United in fifth on 19 points while Southampton moved up to 15th with 12 points.
2008: Chelsea lose 86-match unbeaten home record
Liverpool demonstrated their growing Premier League title credentials by ending Chelsea's 86-match unbeaten run in the league at Stamford Bridge.
Jose Bosingwa’s 10th-minute own goal gave Liverpool the three points and shattered Chelsea’s run that stretched back to February 2004 on home turf.
The result left Liverpool at the top with 23 points, three clear of Chelsea who were second on 20 points.
