A nightmare start to Liverpool's Double Gameweek could get even worse for millions of Fantasy Premier League managers worldwide.
Sadio Mane (£12.4m) went off injured after just 33 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers to the dismay of over 270,000+ who made him the most triple-captained player in the game.
His 40.8 per cent ownership will hope to wake up to better news this morning after Jurgen Klopp told Liverpool's official website he will "have to wait" to discover the extent of Mane's injury.
But even though FPL managers might fear a lengthy absence and the risk of rotation ahead of UEFA Champions League matches, FPL expert Gianni Buttice believes they should not let go of the Senegalese winger yet, even if sales force his value down.
"It's worth playing the waiting game," said Buttice. "We'll know in 7-10 days. So, I'd hold tight and stay patient.
"You might be worried about a price drop but, really, £0.1m isn't worth the risk if he is going to be fit in seven days' time."
