Watford hope for a first victory since Matchweek 22 as they seek to move out of the relegation zone.

Leaders Liverpool can win a record 19th consecutive Premier League match and edge closer to a first title.

Team news

Ismaila Sarr could push for a starting berth after returning from injury as a substitute against Manchester United last weekend.

Kiko Femenia and Danny Welbeck are also closing in on first-team returns, while Daryl Janmaat is back in full training.

Liverpool remain unable to call upon Jordan Henderson (hamstring), James Milner (muscle) and Xherdan Shaqiri (calf).

Did you know?

Watford are winless in their last eight Premier League meetings with Liverpool, losing each of the last four, during which they have conceded 15 times and failed to register a single goal.

All 24 of Watford’s goals this season have been scored from inside the box. In Premier League history only Middlesbrough (35) and Man City (33) have scored 100 per cent of their goals from inside the area, with both doing so in 1995/96.

Under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have scored more goals against Watford than they have versus any other side in the Premier League, netting 27 times in nine matches.

Sadio Mane has scored or assisted in all six of his PL matches against Watford for Liverpool, netting five and setting up four. Mohamed Salah has struck eight goals in his five appearances against the Hornets, netting both goals in the Reds’ 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
