Liverpool's title triumph has undoubtedly been a team effort, and it is no surprise that five members of the title-winning squad have been included in Alan Shearer's Premier League Team of the Season.
Among his standout picks, the Premier League Champion heaped praise on Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Shearer says it would be a dream for any forward to line up in front of the 21-year-old, who scored four times, made 13 assists and excelled as a playmaker for Liverpool, all despite being a right-back.
Nick Pope (BUR)
To have kept that many clean sheets, 15, tells you the story of his season. Commanding and a brilliant shot-stopper.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV)
A forward’s dream and is only going to get better. Only Kevin De Bruyne has more assists in 2019/20.
Virgil van Dijk (LIV)
He's been immense at the heart of Liverpool’s defence and has played a huge part in their success.
Chris Basham (SHU)
Played every league match and has been a rock for Sheffield United. I could easily have picked his team-mate John Egan instead. Both have been brilliant.
Andrew Robertson (LIV)
What a bargain buy he’s proven to be. When you consider that him and Trent play in a back four and not as wing-backs, the amount of assists they have produced is incredible.
Kevin De Bruyne (MCI)
A joy to watch all season. He has been a standout performer and it’s no surprise he’s matched Thierry Henry’s record of 20 assists.
Jordan Henderson (LIV)
Liverpool’s Player of the Season in my opinion. He’s been a great leader and a huge driving force in their midfield.
Bruno Fernandes (MUN)
Changed the fortunes of Manchester United when he arrived. They were predictable, but he has added star quality. Thanks to him they finished in the top four.
Raheem Sterling (MCI)
Keeps on getting better and he continues to score plenty of goals. For the seventh consecutive season he has played more than 30 league matches. Consistently brilliant.
Jamie Vardy (LEI)
The Golden Boot winner, and the star man in what was a terrific season for Leicester City. What a player.
Sadio Mane (LIV)
A consistent performer for Liverpool. On the odd occasion they couldn’t break teams down he was the one that unlocked the door.
Manager: Jurgen Klopp (LIV)
It’s been a long 30 years for Liverpool fans but he has delivered what they wanted in spectacular style. He will go down in the club’s folklore.
