James Maddison’s stunning strike at Manchester City has been voted the September 2020 Budweiser Goal of the Month.
The Leicester City midfielder cut in from the left before unleashing an exquisite 30-yard curler that flew beyond goalkeeper Ederson as the Foxes won 5-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
It was Maddison’s first goal of the season and the first time he has won a Premier League monthly award.
Maddison’s effort was chosen by a panel of experts combined with a public vote, beating seven other contenders.
It also adds to the 23-year-old's knack for scoring with spectacular efforts from range.
He has scored nine goals from outside the penalty area since his Premier League debut in August 2018, more than any other player in that time.
