Manchester City v Burnley

Substitute Sergio Aguero's second-half strike was the winner for ten-man Manchester City against Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

Fernandinho was dismissed in the first half for a challenge on Johan Berg Gudmundsson but it was Pep Guardiola's side who rallied after the interval.

Gael Clichy netted a rare goal in the 58th minute, his right-foot shot finding the bottom corner, before Aguero came on to double City’s lead four minutes later from a tight angle.

Ben Mee gave Burnley hope with a scrambled effort and Andre Gray and Michael Keane both went close as Sean Dyche's team pushed in vain for an equaliser.

The win sent City into third above Arsenal and Spurs, who both play later.
