The Brentford forward has been a big success in home matches recently, returning 46 points in his last six starts.

Toney scored five goals and supplied two assists over that spell, earning nine bonus points and blanking only once.

The underlying numbers further highlight Toney’s recent goal threat.

He has produced 12 shots in the box in his last four matches, joint-second among all players in Fantasy.

Toney earns a place in a best XI that lines up in a 4-4-2 formation, with Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne (£12.1m) handed the armband and Son Heung-min (£11.2m) of Tottenham Hotspur named vice-captain.

David Raya (BRE) £4.3m

The Brentford No 1 has proved outstanding value in Fantasy in recent home encounters. Raya has conceded two goals in his previous six starts, claiming five clean sheets and 40 points.

Andrew Robertson (LIV) £7.3m

Liverpool’s left-back has 66 points and just a single blank in his last eight home matches. One goal, three assists, seven clean sheets and seven bonus over those encounters underline Robertson’s many routes to returns against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Reece James (CHE) £6.4m

The Chelsea wing-back’s potential at both ends of the pitch could deliver a huge armband return at home to Watford. The Hornets have conceded five goals in two of their previous five contests.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (MCI) £5.3m

Manchester City’s full-back hosts boasts strong home form ahead of a visit from Aston Villa. Zinchenko has amassed 16 points in his last two outings at the Etihad Stadium, combining two assists with a clean sheet and two bonus.

Ryan Sessegnon (TOT) £4.3m

The Tottenham Hotspur wing-back has been performing consistently of late, with just a single blank in his previous seven appearances. Sessegnon visits Norwich City on the back of three assists and four clean sheets in that spell.

Kevin De Bruyne (MCI) £12.1m

Playmaker De Bruyne’s influence could prove decisive as Man City look to clinch the title with a home win against Villa. He has been far more reliable for big scores at home this season, with five of his seven double-figure returns coming this way.

Son Heung-min (TOT) £11.2m

The Golden Boot contender is the most-bought player in Gameweek 38, earning 152,000+ new owners. Son has scored 10 of his 21 goals this season in his last nine appearances, collecting 96 points.

Luis Diaz (LIV) £8.1m

Liverpool’s Colombian has delivered double-figure hauls in two of his last three at Anfield. Diaz has produced 13 shots and 10 shots in the box in his previous four outings, both placing among the Reds’ top two players.

Mason Mount (CHE) £7.7m

The Chelsea midfielder produced 12 points in his previous meeting with Watford in Gameweek 14. Having been rested against Leicester City in midweek, Mount will be fully refreshed to face the relegated Hornets.

Jamie Vardy (LEI) £10.3m

Vardy has scored twice and earned 13 points in two of his last three matches for Leicester. At home to Southampton, Vardy’s potential for another huge haul makes him one of the most appealing captains for Gameweek 38.

Ivan Toney (BRE) £6.8m

Toney is the second most-bought forward in Gameweek 38, and has been transferred in by 64,000+ managers ahead of Sunday’s 14:30 BST deadline.
