In 2022/23, Fantasy Premier League managers will have to pick a select number of premiums from a big-hitting group including Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), Son Heung-min, Kevin De Bruyne (both £12.0m), Harry Kane and Erling Haaland (both £11.5m).
So will it be shrewd strategy to jump between them throughout the season? Two Fantasy experts have different tactics.
Sam Bonfield, of FPL Family, says: “I always find that at the end of the season the premium players are going to be the ones who score the most points. If you move around between them there’s a risk that you miss the points hauls.
“I like to stay loyal and know that come the end of the season they’re probably all going to have scored roughly the same number of points.”
Sam’s fellow expert Pranil Sheth is going for the opposing strategy, stating: “There’s no fixed premium in my team this season. Based on performance, as well as fixtures, premiums will keep going in and out of my team.
“The top-six teams have all strengthened this season and I feel like the number of options you have among the premium picks is a lot.”
