Eight players have been nominated for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for December. We look at each candidate.
Adam Lallana (Liverpool)
P6 W4 D1 L1; Goals: 4 Assists: 2
The Liverpool midfielder scored in the 2-2 draw with West Ham United, his first league goal for the club since September.
Lallana was then instrumental in the four victories that followed for Liverpool in the month.
He became only the second player to score more than once against a resolute Middlesbrough defence this season, in the 3-0 win at the Riverside, and added a goal in the 4-1 win over Stoke City.
He also provided two assists to his team-mates, including in the 1-0 win over Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp revealed after the Boro match that a positional tweak helped to get the midfielder on the scoresheet more often.
"Last year I sat Adam Lallana down," Klopp said. "I was happy with him but he was like, 'I'm not scoring.'
"I said he wasn't in the right positions."
You can vote for Lallana as your EA SPORTS Player for December in the poll above, which closes at 23.59 GMT, 9 January.
