Tottenham Hotspur have announced that head coach Antonio Conte is to undergo surgery to remove his gallbladder.
In a statement, Spurs said the 53-year-old "recently became unwell with severe abdominal pain" and that cholecystitis, which is inflammation of the gallbladder, was diagnosed.
Spurs added that Conte "will return following a period of recuperation".

Spurs are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table and on Sunday they host Manchester City.
Matches against Leicester City, West Ham United and Conte's former club Chelsea follow in February.
