Kane became only the third player to reach the milestone when he scored in the 15th minute - a strike which proved decisive as Spurs beat Pep Guardiola's side 1-0.
“It’s a magical moment,” said Kane. “I was so desperate to do it with a win as well. I wanted to win so bad. To do it in front of the home fans, it’s a moment I’ll never forget.
“There’s been so much talk about it over the last couple of weeks and I just wanted to get it done as soon as possible. To do it in a big game against one of the best teams in the world, it’s just a special feeling.
"When I started playing regularly, eight or nine years ago now, it wasn’t even in my imagination to score 200 Premier League goals. To be there now is just exciting, and I’ve got plenty of years left so hopefully there are a few more to come."
Kane’s clinical finish against Man City also gave him the outright club record for goals in all competitions, with his 267th Spurs strike taking him one ahead of Jimmy Greaves’ total.
"He [Greaves] is a complete hero here, one of the best strikers to ever play the game, so even to be in that company is a special feeling,” said Kane.
"To overtake him, I’m sure his family will be watching and they’ll be proud as well. Overall it’s just a really good night."
