Trossard looks set to rival Gabriel Martinelli (£6.5m) for minutes over Double Gameweek 25, after replacing the Brazilian in the Gunners’ starting XI against Aston Villa last weekend.
The duo have each scored once in Arsenal’s last three matches.
However, the underlying numbers show Trossard offers the greater all-round threat.
His 39 minutes per shot is quicker than the 56 of Martinelli , while Trossard also has a higher minutes per chance created ratio of 52 to 56.
This suggests that even if his playing time is somewhat limited, the January signing can still deliver attacking returns.
Indeed, Trossard's debut strike for Arsenal was as a substitute against Brentford in Gameweek 23.
Shaky opponents
Encouragingly for Arsenal’s attackers, both their upcoming opponents have poor defensive records.
Leicester have conceded at least twice in four of their last five, while Everton have only one clean sheet away from home this season.
That gives Trossard the chance to get more returns as Arsenal aim to extend their lead at the top.
