Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with Brighton after the expiration of his contract.

“I’m excited to have Mahmoud in my team. I wanted him when I was at Sassuolo and I’m sure he is going to be a top player for us,” head coach Roberto De Zerbi told the club's official website.

Dahoud made his Bundesliga debut in 2014 for Borussia Monchengladbach, before moving to Dortmund three years later in 2017.
During 141 appearances in all competitions, Dahoud helped Dortmund win the German Cup and Super Cup.
He is Brighton's third arrival of the summer, after Joao Pedro from Watford and James Milner from Liverpool.

Dahoud's first match in Brighton colours could be in the Premier League's Summer Series tournament, with the Seagulls' first fixture scheduled for 22 July.
