Jurgen Klopp says he is not concerned by reports linking Mohamed Salah with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Salah signed a new contract at Liverpool last summer, but reports suggested that Al-Ittihad are looking to sign the 31-year-old Egyptian before the transfer window closes on 1 September.
After losing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to the Saudi Pro League, Liverpool boss Klopp dismissed speculation that Salah might be the third such exit.
“Talk about media stories, nothing to talk about,” Klopp said in his press conference ahead of Sunday’s trip to Newcastle United. “From my point of view he is a Liverpool player.
“He is essential and will be. There is nothing there. My life philosophy I think about a problem when I have it.”
When Klopp was asked whether Salah was committed to Liverpool, he replied: “100 per cent.”
The German admits that his team face a huge task when travelling to St. James’ Park, where Newcastle won 5-1 against Aston Villa on the opening weekend, thanks to new signings.

“Incredibly strong team, in the [UEFA] Champions League and fully deserved with super development under Eddie Howe and smart business,” Klopp said.
"Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes are really good business; they have a super intense style and massive atmosphere there so this is a tough one for sure.
"They played a really good first game where Aston Villa were good as well, the result didn’t reflect the full game."
Liverpool will be heartened by the news that the three-match ban for Alexis Mac Allister’s red card in the last week’s 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth has been overturned and Klopp was impressed by Wataru Endo’s cameo at Anfield that day after signing from Stuttgart.
“It is still early days, after one and half day's, half a session playing in a team with 10 men is really difficult and he did really exceptionally well with that," Klopp added.
"He looks good, he is a good player and I was really happy.
"No it was not expected, we had him on the bench to bring him on later in a slightly different situation."
