Manchester United have been dealt a blow ahead of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League match against Bayern Munich, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka expected to miss "several weeks" due to injury.
Having started Man Utd's opening four matches of the Premier League season, the right-back was benched against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday due to illness.
He was introduced in the 85th minute of the 3-1 defeat but promptly suffered an injury.
A Man Utd statement said: "Further assessment will be needed to determine how long Wan-Bissaka will be out for, but initial indications suggest it will be several weeks."
Man Utd have three Premier League fixtures before the next international break, visiting Burnley this Saturday before hosting Crystal Palace the following weekend and Brentford on 7 October.
Wan-Bissaka would then have another two weeks to recover without missing any matches, before a trip to Sheffield United on 21 October.
