A visit to Nottingham Forest can help Luis Diaz (£7.5m) continue his run of fine displays in Gameweek 27 of Fantasy Premier League.

Liverpool’s Colombian is in the best form of his Fantasy career ahead of Saturday afternoon’s encounter at the City Ground.

Diaz has produced returns in each of the last five Gameweeks, scoring three goals and supplying three assists to collect 38 points.

He takes his place in a best XI that lines up in a 3-5-2 formation, with Erling Haaland (£14.4m) handed the armband and Bukayo Saka (£9.2m) named vice-captain.

FPL GW27 Scout Selection
Caoimhin Kelleher (Liverpool) £3.7m

At a cost of only £3.7m, Liverpool’s back-up goalkeeper is currently the cheapest starting player in Fantasy due to an injury to Alisson (£5.8m). Kelleher has proven an able deputy, keeping back-to-back clean sheets in all competitions ahead of a trip to Nott'm Forest.

Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) £6.9m

Newcastle United’s right-back is the top-scoring defender in home matches in Fantasy this season. Trippier has amassed 66 points in 12 outings, with one goal, four assists, five clean sheets and 13 bonus points highlighting his many routes to returns against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Gabriel (Arsenal) £5.3m

Arsenal’s centre-back has soared to over 26 per cent ownership thanks to his recent impact at both ends of the pitch. Gabriel visits Sheffield United on the back of three goals, an assist and three clean sheets in his last nine outings, including three double-figure returns.

Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth) £4.5m

The AFC Bournemouth centre-back boasts a considerable attacking threat ahead of a visit to Burnley. Senesi has produced three goals and two assists in 2023/24 Fantasy, and with a Double Gameweek 28 against Sheff Utd and Luton Town, he is a big value prospect at the back.

Son Heung-min (Spurs) £9.6m

An ownership of just 16 per cent makes the Tottenham Hotspur star an overlooked armband pick at home to Crystal Palace. Son has delivered six double-figure hauls this season, including a 10-point return against the Eagles in Gameweek 10.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £9.2m

Arsenal’s winger is in the best form of his Fantasy career for his match at Sheff Utd, who have conceded five goals in each of their last three home matches in all competitions. Saka has scored seven goals and amassed 59 points in his last five appearances and is among the top captain contenders.

Phil Foden (Man City) £8.1m

The Manchester City star has four goals, an assist and a team-high 45 points in their last six matches. Foden – who was rested from FA Cup duties in midweek - scored a hat-trick to collect 19 points in last season’s Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium.

Luis Diaz (Liverpool) £7.5m

His 20 shots in the box from Gameweek 22 onwards rank second among all players in Fantasy.

Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) £6.1m

The Newcastle winger has a near flawless record at St James’ Park in 2023/24 Fantasy, with only a single blank in 13 appearances. Gordon has combined seven goals with six assists to total 88 points in home matches, the third-best record in FPL this season.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.4m

The Norwegian’s five-goal performance against Luton in the FA Cup in midweek looks ominous for Manchester United on Sunday afternoon. Haaland produced his career-high haul of 23 points in the corresponding match last season, scoring a hat-trick and supplying two assists in a 6-3 win.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £8.9m

A goal and an assist in Gameweek 26 moved the Aston Villa star to the top of the overall player standings on 170 points. Hauls of 18 and 13 points in his last two away matches show just why Watkins can also reward managers with the armband against Luton.
