Managers in Fantasy Premier League are heading into another tricky pair of Gameweeks and must plan their moves carefully.

AFC Bournemouth and Luton Town both play TWICE in Double Gameweek 28 (DGW28), so FPL managers could target their players this week to capitalise.

However, we then head straight into a Blank Gameweek 29 (BGW29) where there are only FOUR matches, and highly-owned players from a host of the top clubs will score zero points in FPL.

How should Fantasy managers navigate this schedule? The Scout's panel of FPL experts are here to help, revealing their own plans and offering general advice.

What the experts say
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I'll be using the Free Hit chip in BGW29. I was planning to save it, but the injury to Richarlison (£7.0m) means I'm now too many players down. I like the Free Hit in BGW29, as it also enables me to hold onto good assets from the top teams - Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City - knowing they'll come back into my team for Gameweek 30 and the run-in.

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)

I'm planning on taking a couple of hits over the next couple of Gameweeks, to get as close to fielding 11 players as possible for BGW29, and also so I can get Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) in for his DGW28. Jarrod Bowen (£7.9m) is the other key player I am bringing in this week for his enticing home fixture against Burnley. He looks like a must-have for that match.

Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12)

As things stand, I'm looking to buy some players who play in both Gameweeks 28 and 29, so Luton, West Ham and Spurs assets are on my radar. I'm looking to save my Free Hit in DGW29 and use it in the future. If you are looking to Free-Hit in BGW29, Bournemouth players make good picks since they have better fixtures than Luton in DGW28 and also have good fixtures from Gameweek 30 onwards.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Gameweek 26 was a disaster for me and that has meant I have second-guessed all of the planning I have done. Originally I was planning to dead-end my team for BGW29, which meant that I would be targeting Aston Villa, Spurs and Luton players. However, I haven't ruled out a Free Hit chip in BGW29. This means that I have to plan for both of the next two Gameweeks. I will likely bring in a Spurs midfielder this week, as that transfer makes sense regardless of whether I play the Free Hit chip or not in BGW29, as Spurs have nice fixtures from Gameweek 30 onwards.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL

I think by now most FPL managers have decided if they are going to Free-Hit in BGW29 or not. If you are Free-Hitting in BGW29, it makes more sense to load up on Bournemouth players than Luton players, as Bournemouth have better fixtures from Gameweek 30 onwards and have a better DGW28 on paper. If you are saving your Free Hit, then the fact that Luton play in BGW29 means going heavy on the Hatters makes sense as you are getting three fixtures versus one for the teams who don't have a match in BGW29.

Ben Crabtree (@FCCrab_Dogg)

I'm set for DGW28, with one transfer giving me three players who have a Double Gameweek. I don't think there's a need for more, given my other players mostly have good fixtures. I'll probably Free-Hit in BGW29, but I'm open to just having six to eight players.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

I will be buying a third Bournemouth player this week and I already have two Luton picks, so I am well set for DGW28. This does mean I have been prioritising Gameweeks other than BGW29, which is why I will be using the Free Hit chip that week.

After recent injuires to Richarlison and perhaps even Pau Torres (£4.6m), I think I will be forced into using the Free Hit in BGW29, even though I was planning to go without. Therefore I'll use my transfers this week to focus on getting Bournemouth who have a nice DGW28 and good fixtures after BGW29 as well.

Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry)

Personally I will Free-Hit in BGW29, as my squad does not have enough players for that week without taking several hits. It allows me to target Bournemouth this week, who have the better DGW28, and make transfers for the future.
