Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer says it has been an emotional experience to return to the Vitality Stadium tonight, three months after he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch at AFC Bournemouth.
Lockyer collapsed in the second half of Luton's match on the south coast on 16 December, with the match being abandoned.
The rearranged fixture was played on Wednesday night, and Lockyer travelled with the Luton squad to thank the medics who helped him and the Bournemouth fans who have supported him during his recovery.
"I am quite numb to the whole thing but being back here, I came into the tunnel area and saw the paramedics that saved my life," Lockyer told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"I recognised them straight away. What do you say in that situation other than 'thank you'? They are heroes and they saved my life. I got a little bit emotional. I am sure there are going to be many more throughout the evening."

December's match was stopped in the 59th minute, and there was applause around the stadium in the same minute of Wednesday's match.
"I hope that is for the paramedics and not myself," said Lockyer. "When it happened it was important for people to see me doing well.
"A lot of that crowd that were there that day are here tonight so for them to see me walking around and doing well is important."
Bournemouth fans subsidised the travel for Luton's supporters to the match on the south coast.
"It is just incredible," said Lockyer. "I am best mates with David Brooks so I know what a wonderful club Bournemouth is. It is truly incredible what this set of fans are doing."
