Sean Dyche said he is "incredibly pleased and proud' of his Everton players after they secured their Premier League status for another season with a 1-0 win over Brentford.
The Toffees manager discussed the reaction his side produced after losing 6-0 at Chelsea just under two weeks ago having now won their last three matches without conceding a goal.
"Incredibly pleased and proud," Dyche told the club website. "They’re a group of players who have had knocks all season. Four out of five clean sheets and wins with all the mounting noise after the Chelsea game is incredible.
"The mentality of the players is fantastic. Super pleased. Very proud.
"It’s been an exhausting week for many reasons, highs from the big win on Wednesday. The emotion that goes into that, I wondered how the players would respond.
"They’ve had a massive week. There’s a lot of pressure and intensity on the week and can you do it again? Second half we controlled the game pretty well."
"I am pleased with the staff as well because we kept things super light. We were debating how we go about it. It was a soft start to the game, but that was to be expected. I mentioned that at the time but the team grew into it, and found big moments, stopping it at one end, and finding it at another."
