Leeds United moved a step closer to a return to the Premier League after they beat Norwich City 4-0 on aggregate after a 4-0 win at Elland Road in their Championship playoff semi-final second leg.

Following a goalless first leg at Carrow Road, Leeds, who were relegated to the Championship in 2023, went ahead in the seventh minute when Ilia Gruev scored his maiden goal for the club with a clever free-kick.

The hosts doubled their lead on 20 minutes when Wilfried Gnonto's cross was headed in by Joel Piroe.

Georginio Rutter added a third before the break and Crysencio Summerville completed the scoring with a close-range finish on 68 minutes.

They will now face Southampton in the playoff final on Sunday 26 May at Wembley Stadium.
