See what's ahead over the coming days as we count down to the Premier League's return this weekend, including Liverpool v Chelsea on Sunday.
Monday
A number of countries continue their UEFA Nations League campaigns at 19:45 BST, with Premier League players set to feature for Wales, France, Belgium, Italy and Sweden among others.
There will also be qualification fixtures for the Africa Cup of Nations, as well as matches in the CONCACAF Nations League.
Tuesday
The final UEFA Nations League games in this international break will include Scotland, Northern Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Poland all playing at 19:45 BST.
A number of the Premier League’s young stars will take part in a full round of UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifiers, including England’s game against Azerbaijan at 19:30 BST.
Elsewhere on the international scene, there are World Cup qualifiers in Asia and South America, more Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and CONCACAF Nations League group-stage fixtures.
While their senior counterparts are busy on international duty, domestic fixtures for some Premier League Under-21 sides continue. Huddersfield Town take on Sunderland in the Premier League Cup at 19:00 BST, while Nottingham Forest host Valencia in the Premier League International Cup.
There will also be action in the National League Cup's group stage, pitting Premier League 2 sides against clubs from the National League. Derby County’s Under-21s travel to Aldershot Town at 19:00 BST.
Wednesday
The international break officially concludes in the early hours of Wednesday morning (BST) with a number of World Cup qualifiers in South America and friendlies in North and Central America.
That means a tight turnaround ahead of the Premier League weekend for the likes of Matt Turner (Crystal Palace) and Antonee Robinson (Fulham), who play for the United States at 03:30 BST.
Brazil and Argentina are among the other nations in action overnight UK time, impacting players such as Ederson (Manchester City), Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal), Lisandro Martinez (Manchester United) and Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea).
Thursday
A number of Premier League managers will hold press conferences ahead of the weekend’s fixtures, providing fitness updates on their international players as they return from foreign shores.
There are three Premier League Cup fixtures for Under-21 sides at 19:00 BST, with clubs including Watford, Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion in action. Meanwhile, Blackburn Rovers welcome Benfica in the Premier League International Cup at the same time.
Friday
The remaining Premier League managers will speak to the media before their weekend matches.
There are two Premier League International Cup fixtures for Under-21 sides at 19:00 BST, with Crystal Palace welcoming Sporting Lisbon and Brighton & Hove Albion hosting RB Leipzig. In the Premier League Cup, Southampton’s Under-21s host Fleetwood Town.
Saturday
The Fantasy Premier League deadline for Gameweek 8 is at 11:00 BST.
The Premier League returns with a tasty London derby at 12:30 BST as Tottenham Hotspur host West Ham United. Spurs fans will be desperate for a home win after their side threw away a two-goal lead to lose at Brighton in their last outing, while West Ham could leapfrog their opponents with victory.
The five 15:00 BST kick-offs include a couple of hugely important games at the bottom of the table, with Southampton entertaining fellow promoted side Leicester City, while Everton visit Ipswich Town. With only two league wins between the four sides this season, there could be major implications for the relegation battle.
Man Utd will hope to return to winning ways when they host Brentford at 15:00 BST, when the intriguing encounters between Newcastle United and Brighton, and Fulham and Aston Villa, will also kick off.
There would be a new team at the top by the end of the day if Arsenal beat AFC Bournemouth away at 17:30 BST. Mikel Arteta’s side are undefeated so far this campaign and sit one point behind leaders Liverpool.
Sunday
Even if Arsenal do take pole position, their time there could be short-lived. Reigning champions Man City could replace them when they travel to bottom side Wolverhampton Wanderers at 14:00 BST. Gary O’Neil’s team have earned just a solitary point from their seven league matches.
In the final match of the week, Liverpool will be seeking to reclaim or consolidate top spot when they host Chelsea at 16:30 BST. Arne Slot’s side have conceded only two league goals but now face in-form opponents who boast both the Premier League player and manager of the month, after Cole Palmer and Enzo Maresca won September's awards.
