Erling Haaland's brace against West Ham United on Saturday provided a reminder of why he is one of the most-feared strikers in the Premier League.
The Manchester City star had an unusually lean spell towards the end of 2024, scoring only three times in 13 Premier League matches.
However, he now has three goals in his last two matches following Manchester City's thumping 4-1 win over the Hammers, and 16 from 20 Premier League appearances this season.
His two-goal show and general all-round performance has landed Haaland a spot in the Team of the Week selected by Alan Shearer, the Premier League's record goalscorer and Hall of Fame inductee.
Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest)
"He's having a great season and made some big saves. He kept another clean sheet and also played a part in Forest's second goal."
Lisandro Martinez (Man Utd)
"Put in some fine tackles and became the first Man Utd player to score at Anfield since 2018!"
Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest)
"Tough and reliable again, he was a tower of strength at the back."
Diogo Dalot (Man Utd)
"Really imposed himself as a left wing-back. He gave Trent Alexander-Arnold a torrid afternoon."
Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest)
"Bossed the midfield against Wolves. A very impressive performance."
Mikkel Damsgaard (Brentford)
"Superb again. Created the opening goal with a pinpoint pass and showed his class throughout."
Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd)
"That's much more like it from the United captain. Ruben Amorim asked for leaders on the pitch and Fernandes responded."
Savinho (Man City)
"West Ham just couldn't handle him. He forced the early own goal and then set up both of Erling Haaland's goals too. The run and cross for Haaland's header was brilliant wing play."
Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford)
"Two more goals, plus an assist. He's in red-hot form."
Erling Haaland (Man City)
"He’s back! With three goals in his last two games, he looks like the Haaland we all know."
Raul Jimenez (Fulham)
"Cool as you like with two brilliant penalties, he kept his nerve to rescue a point."
Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo (Nottingham Forest)
"Forest are flying under him and the sky’s the limit with the way they are going this season."
