The Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool has been rescheduled to take place on Wednesday, 12 February 2025, at 19:30 GMT.
The initial fixture was scheduled for Saturday, 7 December 2024, but was postponed due to safety concerns from adverse weather conditions caused by Storm Darragh.
Following consultations between the clubs and the Premier League, a new date was agreed upon.
This date remains subject to Liverpool not being involved in the UEFA Champions League knockout phase playoffs by finishing in the top eight of the league phase. This is all-but guaranteed as they lead the table with a perfect record of six wins from six, with two fixtures remaining.
How February looks for Everton and Liverpool
In the weekend leading up to the derby, Liverpool will travel 294 miles to face Plymouth Argyle in their FA Cup fourth-round tie, while Everton will host AFC Bournemouth.
After the derby, Everton will head to London to face Crystal Palace, and Liverpool will return to Anfield to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Since the original December date, Everton have appointed David Moyes for his second stint as manager at the club.
Liverpool remain top of the Premier League table, now boasting a six-point lead over the second-placed team, an improvement on their four-point cushion in December.
