Martell Taylor-Crossdale scored twice as Chelsea recorded their first away victory of the campaign with a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Joe Edwards’s side got off to a flying start when Martell Taylor-Crossdale met Kyle Scott’s cross from close range in the second minute.
Spurs, for whom Erik Lamela made an appearance after over a year on the sidelines, were soon level, Shayon Harrison latching on to Marcus Edwards’ through-ball to score his 15th goal against Chelsea in seven matches.
But Taylor-Crossdale headed the Blues back in front early in the second half from a cross by Harvey St Clair, and they stretched their lead in the second minute of stoppage time when Callum Hudson-Odoi converted a spot-kick awarded for a foul by goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman on substitute Luke McCormick.
There was still time for Spurs to grab a late consolation through Kazaiah Sterling but Chelsea held on for the win that lifted them three places to seventh in the table.
