A hat-trick by Callum Hudson-Odoi earned Chelsea a 5-0 Division 1 win over Sunderland at Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground.
Ike Ugbo got the scoring under way early on with a PL2 debut goal from close range after Michael Woud had saved Harvey St Clair's shot.
Hudson-Odoi doubled the visitors' lead when he finished off a wonderful run with a rising drive into the roof of the net
Ethan Ampadu gave the Blues a 3-0 half-time lead with his first Chelsea goal while Hudson-Odoi scored his second with another spectacular strike.
Hudson-Odoi completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Juan Castillo had been felled in the area.
The win lifts Chelsea two places, to seventh place, while Sunderland remain 10th.
