Luke Armstrong scored the only goal as Middlesbrough won 1-0 at Newcastle United to move up to third in the Premier League 2 Division 2 table.
Armstrong (pictured) scored the winner in the 68th minute, cutting in from the left of the area and firing a low shot into the bottom corner, to boost Boro's play-off hopes.
Newcastle captain Owen Bailey had the ball in the net in the second minute but his effort was disallowed for a foul.
Middlesbrough need one win from their final three matches to confirm a place in the play-offs, contested by teams ranked second, third, fourth and fifth.
Boro are four points clear of sixth-placed Fulham, who have two matches left. Newcastle are 11th.
