2009: Kevin Nolan joins Newcastle United
After 10 years with Bolton Wanderers, Kevin Nolan moved to St James’ Park.
Newcastle United were relegated four months later, but Nolan was a key player as they bounced straight back up to the top flight.
He was named captain for the 2010/11 campaign and scored 12 goals in 30 Premier League appearances that season, including his first PL hat-trick in a 5-1 win over local rivals Sunderland.
Nolan moved on to West Ham United in the summer of 2011.
2013: Reading 2-2 Chelsea
Adam Le Fondre scored two late goals as Reading battled back to stun Chelsea and earn a point at the Madejski Stadium.
Juan Mata put Chelsea ahead at the end of the first half, and Frank Lampard then headed in from Mata’s corner.
The Blues seemed to be heading for a comfortable victory. But Le Fondre halved the deficit in the 87th minute and then equalised in the fifth minute of stoppage-time, with Hope Akpan setting up both goals.
It left third-placed Chelsea 13 points behind leaders Manchester United, while Reading climbed out of the relegation zone into 17th place on goal difference.
