Manchester City have announced the signing of John Stones from Everton.
The 22-year-old defender has signed a six-year deal at the Etihad Stadium for an undisclosed fee, becoming the latest player to join the Pep Guardiola era at City.
Having drafted in attacking options such as Nolito, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus, Stones will add to the club's defence and becomes Guardiola's eighth signing as head coach.
"I'm absolutely delighted to sign for City and now the deal's done I'm looking forward to the next stage in my career," he told mancity.com.
"I've obviously seen what's going on here at the Etihad, it's an ambitious Club with a great manager so I can't wait to get stuck in and help achieve the goals."
Guardiola added: “We want to help John show his quality with us and improve on what he has already achieved.
"I like the way he plays the game and I'm looking forward to welcoming him into the squad."
The England international has made 77 Premier League appearances since making his debut in a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Goodison Park in September 2013.
Stones featured 33 times in the top flight in 2015/16, winning 36 tackles and 66.52% of his overall duels, the highest success rate of any Everton player. View more Stones stats.
