1994: The 2,000th Premier League goal
Mick Quinn scored the Premier League’s 2,000th goal in Coventry City's 4-0 home win over Manchester City.
David Rennie put the hosts ahead in the second half and Quinn's 75th-minute diving header then entered his name into the record books. John Williams and Peter Ndlovu also struck in the last three minutes of normal time.
Coventry climbed into 11th place, while Manchester City remained in the bottom three but only one point from safety.
1994: Swindon Town 3-3 Norwich City
A six-goal thriller ended with honours even as Swindon Town and Norwich City drew 3-3.
Chris Sutton opened the scoring 10 minutes in, but Shaun Taylor equalised soon after for Swindon. And, when Rob Newman restored Norwich's lead before half-time, Jan Age Fjortoft promptly cancelled out that strike too.
Fjortoft went on to give Swindon the lead for the first time, with Nicky Summerbee contributing his second assist, but Jeremy Goss hit back for the hosts in the 83rd minute.
Swindon remained in bottom place, three points from safety, while Norwich stayed ninth on 42 points.
