2001: Bolton Wanderers 2-1 Liverpool

Bolton Wanderers maintained their perfect start to the season and remained in top spot after a 2-1 home win over Liverpool.

Michael Ricketts gave the hosts the lead, scoring with a glancing header six yards out. And, although Emile Heskey levelled, Dean Holdsworth scored a 90th-minute winner as his low 30-yard drive crept under Sander Westerveld.

Early leaders Bolton moved onto nine points after three matches, while Liverpool dropped to 12th with three points from two matches.

2009: Robert Huth signs for Stoke City

After three seasons in the Premier League with Middlesbrough, Robert Huth left the relegated Teessiders and signed for Stoke City.

Huth had five and a half campaigns with the Potters, making 149 PL appearances and scoring 13 goals, before joining Leicester City.
