2005: Charlton Athletic 2-5 Manchester City
Manchester City cruised to an emphatic 5-2 victory over Charlton Athletic, condemning the hosts to their fifth successive league defeat.
Andrew Cole put Manchester City ahead after 25 minutes and, although Darren Bent equalised with a volley against the run of play, the visitors regained their lead a minute later through Trevor Sinclair.
Joey Barton’s strike gave City daylight before Jay Bothroyd pulled a goal back, and late efforts from Darius Vassell and Cole wrapped up the three points.
The result left City in eighth on 24 points, three points outside the top four, while Charlton dropped down to 12th on 19 points.
2013: Southampton 2-3 Aston Villa
Fabian Delph hit a spectacular winner as Aston Villa ended Southampton’s unbeaten home record in a 3-2 victory.
Gabriel Agbonlahor put the visitors ahead - only the third time Southampton had conceded at home all season - while Jay Rodriguez equalised minutes after the restart.
Libor Kozak and Daniel Osvaldo then traded headers at each end, leaving the scores level, but Delph struck in the 80th minute to seal three points for Aston Villa.
The result left Villa in 10th on 19 points while Southampton dropped to eighth with 22 points.
