2009: Fulham 3-0 Manchester United
Fulham dented Manchester United’s title bid as they beat the reigning champions 3-0 at Craven Cottage.
Danny Murphy gave the hosts the breakthrough and a half-time lead, and Bobby Zamora then scored his 10th goal of the season before Damien Duff added further gloss to the scoreline.
The result left Man Utd four points off the top, in second place on 37 points, with Fulham in ninth on 26 points.
2009: Manchester City 4-3 Sunderland
Roque Santa Cruz’s brace helped Manchester City to a thrilling victory over Sunderland, with five of the seven goals coming in the first half.
Santa Cruz gave Man City an early lead and Carlos Tevez’s penalty made it 2-0 in the 12th minute, but goals from John Mensah and Jordan Henderson pulled Sunderland level in the 24th minute.
City regained their advantage before the break thanks to Craig Bellamy, only to lose it again as Kenwyne Jones made it 3-3 just after the hour-mark.
But Santa Cruz hit a 69th-minute winner for the hosts, while Sunderland’s Michael Turner was sent off in stoppage time.
Victory moved Man City up to sixth on 29 points, while Sunderland were left in 10th place on 21 points.
